Position: Service Manager (Full-Time, Permanent)
We’re seeking a motivated and experienced Service Manager to lead and support our service department. If you're passionate about boating, customer service, and hands-on leadership, this is your opportunity to make a real impact in a well-established marine business.

Key Responsibilities

Service Coordination & Scheduling

• Serve as the primary point of contact for service inquiries and appointments.
• Schedule, prioritize, and dispatch service work based on customer needs and technician availability.
• Monitor job progress and adjust schedules as needed to ensure timely service.

Team Leadership

• Supervise, support, and mentor marine service technicians.
• Promote a safe, efficient, and collaborative work environment.
• Resolve service-related questions and provide day-to-day leadership on the shop floor.

Customer & Operations Interface

• Communicate clearly with boat owners and service clients about job status and any required updates.
• Collaborate with the operations team to align service delivery with sales and business goals.
• Maintain accurate service records using our internal systems.

Technical & Quality Oversight

• Offer guidance on complex diagnostics and marine technical issues.
• Identify recurring problems and recommend long-term solutions.
• Stay informed on the latest marine trends, especially in BC’s recreational and fishing communities.

Customer Satisfaction & Continuous Improvement

• Conduct quality checks or follow-ups to ensure work meets company and industry standards.
• Handle escalated customer concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Track and report on service department metrics and customer feedback.

Qualifications

• Experience in marine service, boat maintenance, or a related field (fishing experience is a bonus).
• Prior hands-on experience as a marine technician is an asset.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with service management software and reporting tools.
• Understanding of workplace safety and marine regulations.
